And the November 2011 HouseBlogging.com Blog of the Month is
... (insert drum roll here) ...
HOUSEography!
Over the last 10 years, Melissa and Jim have purchased a 1940s brick colonial home and then completed a massive project to double the home's size and fully renovate it. Now they have a beautiful home with lots of period charm right along side some great modern conveniences like a gorgeous master suite and open plan kitchen & family room. Since completing their addition and renovations in 2009, HOUSEography was born. Through their blog, they share loads of fun decorating ideas and provide great inspiration for the rest of us as they work through their post-renovation to-do list. Be sure to stop by their blog page and discover another blog just begging to be added to your "must read" list!

October 2011: Our Concrete Home!
Over at Our Concrete Home, Andrea, Nate, and their two feline friends (Pixel & Loki) are busy making their concrete block house a home. Since purchasing their 1950's house in 2009, they've filled their blog with details on all kinds of DIY projects (including painting inside and out, replacing windows and doors, removing tired landscaping and tearing out old flooring, to name a few). Alongside their project work, they're sharing some decorating inspiration, their entertaining adventures, and the experience of being featured on Bath Crashers. Our personal favorite, though, are the Feline Friday posts featuring all of Pixel and Loki's mischief … they make us smile every time! Be sure to stop on over and get to know this great blog … we're sure you won't be disappointed!
September 2011: Our Little Beehive!
Since purchasing their colonial style house in the Washington, D.C. area in 2009, F and S have been busy with a whole variety of DIY home improvements and crafty projects mixed in with a bunch of tasty recipes that make our mouths water just reading about them! Most recently, they’ve just completed their project to finish their basement, including a new staircase, a pantry, a den / sewing room, a bedroom, a bathroom, a laundry closet and some storage. Whew … just reading about it is enough to make use exhausted! Now they’re tackling an even bigger project - a bedroom renovation just in time for a new addition to their family - and we’re looking forward to reading more about both. Be sure to check out the latest happenings at Our Little Beehive through the posts linked on their blog page!
August 2011: Is it a House Yet?
Over at Is it a House Yet?, A and G are busy renovating their 100-year old bungalow in Northwest Chicago. They’re tackling all of the “hard” projects - removing load bearing walls, adding a new staircase, remodeling their kitchen and bathrooms, and completely changing the layout of their second floor. Their blog includes great how-to posts on foam insulation, built in book cases, and wainscoting, all told in A’s witty style. We love A and G’s ability to find humor in any situation and they’ve given us a whole new appreciation for “flectastic” quarter-sawn oak. Be sure to check out their most recent adventures through the posts linked on their blog page!
