Fallingwater in GINGERBREAD! Isn't that awesome?
There's also a Zen temple, a San Fran Painted Lady, and a Brooklyn Brownstone. Somewhere in Connecticut or Maine, Martha is hyperventilating.

Modern acrylic portrait by M.I.F.
As I cook and decorate for T-day (hoping that some of the wildflowers that have hung on this fall winter make it through the unreal windstorm we had today)
son posted his latest portrait on FB, done for a band that had a CD release party in San Diego this past Saturday.
(Had to post this so...

Yesterday, it was still fall here in Podunkville, Oregon.
Today, Winter came by and said "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLO!"

I wonder if dogs remember how the seasons go from year to year.

Voting is not a right, it's a responsibility! IMHO, anyway.If you are an Aussie, it's also compulsory Down Under, with a fine to be paid if you don't. I kinda like that :)
We've already voted here in OR-its ONLY by mail in my lil town-and tomorrow night I'll be watching DVDs of Downton Abbey while the polls close.

We've missed our opportunity to finish our garage door-ooops!
This is what we started with: someone put a plywood overlay on top of the original garage door, so they didn't have to really fix it-ugh.
I hate shoddy work.
Poor thing was rotted at the bottom big time.
But-look at the...

Howard Wesley TurnerIn researching about the home we call
The Peony Palace, we came across the original owner- meet Mr. Howard Wesley Turner.
Turns out that Mr. Turner was the original
mayor of our little town of Madras!
He was a real mover and shaker; born June 25, 1880 in upstate New York, he first went to Portland but didn't...

October
O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow’s wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin...

Daz and Ranger Today, September 28th, is the birthday of my late husband, Daryl-aka Daz.Every year for the past six since he's been gone, we remember him in a way that would have meant something to him-a donation to the AHA, a tree planted by the Arbor foundation or even a plea for people to sign their organ donor card...this year a...
