We’re Offically Tourists

Authors: Elisa

Welp, we’ve officially lived out of Northern VA long enough so that when we DO visit, we find ourselves doing tourist-y things like visiting the National Mall. Since we went up during the week our evenings were booked but we found ourselves with some deliciously free time during the day. And even though Norah is only seven...

Month Seven

Authors: Elisa

This past month can only be characterized by OMGMILESTONES. Sitting up without assistance, pivoting, rocking, crawling. Even downward dog and some impressive baby yoga moves.

We’ve also dragged her all over creation (to VA and back – twice!) and she’s been a traveling trooper. In fact, I chose to dress her in white...

Crawling and Clovers

Authors: Elisa

Month six has been an interesting one. I’ve become a full-blown accidental stay-at-home-mom and Norah has been eating, and pivoting, and rocking, and crawling, and even downward-dogging. So. Many. Milestones. Sleep has been shit but I think we’re (hopefully?) beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Some days...

One Week of Solids

Authors: Elisa

Month Six

Authors: Elisa

Half a year! Six months! Twenty-six weeks! 182 days!

I am so proud to say I’m her mama – she’s such a happy, healthy, AWESOME BABY.

Six months has been interesting – it’s a huge milestone, not just because us humans love round numbers and half of things, but a lots has been going on. No teeth yet (and...

So last LAST week my parents got themselves moved into the wild wild west, or about 20 miles south of Asheville, North Carolina. They’re just under two hours away, so I packed myself, Norah, and aaalll of her things into the Element and headed into the mountains. It’s the perfect drive – Norah slept through the...

Norah’s Nursery

Authors: Elisa

It has been 156 days since Norah’s birth (that’s a lot of days) and I’m happy to say her nursery is complete.

Lots of reasons I decided to wait until after she was born to finish the nursery. Mainly because we didn’t know she was a she, but I’m so glad we took our time putting in the finishing touches.

And...

09/52 – Dandelion

Authors: Elisa

Still one of my favorite purchases for Norah’s nursery. She’s always been fascinated by it but now, when Tall Daddy holds her she reaches for it immediately.
