Here we are at month 5, almost 22 weeks, over half a pregnancy. Smiling, giggling, squawking. Grabbing her feet like she’s never seen them before, and getting mad when she rolls back to belly and can’t get back again. Clocking in at just over 15 lbs she’s totally helping me work off the rest of the baby weight. As...

Self-identifying as a “non-girly girl” girl, I’ve never been a big fan of pink.
But with a daughter I’ve learned to tolerate it. Damn near say embrace it. Because with a baby as adorable as mine, not that I’m biased, and friends and family who are ever so generous with gifts and hand-me-downs, it’s...

I know, I know, this picture is everywhere, but how could I NOT? Because you guys. Someone has replaced my sweet little baby with a fiery Pterodactyl. The elevated noise level started innocently enough — when she realized she could holler to get my attention. Then she found her voice and began screeching. At first it was kinda...

Well, only NORAH’S first snow, but the whole fam got to enjoy it.
Let’s start with the four-leggers.
June is always rather hesitant.. (even with a Tiennots Knits Sweater!)
But she did eventually have to pee.
Olive, on the other hand… the Resident Sentry.
Then, of course, I dragged my sister outside and made her take...

This weekend my sister and her fiance came to visit. It was a whirlwind visit from Friday to Sunday, but to say I was so glad they came is an understatement. They are getting married in May and it was absolutely fantastic to get some quality time with the both of them.
Of course, Norah loved all the attention.

The weathermen called for a bit of snow this past Saturday (but after a walk in t-shirts on Friday we thought it would be a dud) but we truly had no idea that a band of white-out snow would be coming through. I’m admittedly a bit of a scrooge about snow but I was rather pleased to hunker down with our guests while about two...

Recently I’ve been busy, good busy.
I’ve been sewing, a lot.
I’ve been attacking a few final projects in Norah’s room (between an antenatal broken sewing machine and not knowing that Norah was a girl, I decided to wait on a few things) and I’ve been working on her glider!
Also, I made a few bibs!
A few?...

Sometimes, if I have the TV on during the day, I’m amused and worried because Norah cannot. look. away. I try to pick my spots, but I will fully admit plopping her down on her mat and turning on a show just to finish whatever I was doing (talking 5-10 minutes here.) What kind of rot am I putting into her brain at such a young...
