Follow along as we renovate our thirty plus year old townhouse, grow as a family of three, and are transformed by God.
Pinning and Dining: Vegetarian Taco Soup
- Published on Wednesday, 17 October 2012
I love soup! Creamy soup, spicy soup, meaty soup… they are all good. Eating soup is the perfect way to sneak in some extra vegetables to your diet. Another plus is that when you are only feeding a family of 2.5 a batch of soup will last for several meals. Score! Less cooking for the wifey.
A couple of weeks ago the cool...
Family Friday: Let’s Head to the Races
- Published on Friday, 12 October 2012
This weekend we will be resting and relaxing because we have been busy running in two different 5K’s. Well, technically I only ran in one and to get even more technical I only ran in part of that one but who needs to get technical!
So, here’s the rundown of where we’ve been running.
Two weekends ago,...
Kitchen Budget Breakdown
- Published on Thursday, 11 October 2012
The other week I gave you the run down on what our plan is for the kitchen. (Check out our mood board here.) I took a little longer than expected (gasp… shocker I know) but I’m back with all the budget numbers and our “We Can Beat That Price” to beat.

We’re Having a (Link Up) Party!
- Published on Tuesday, 09 October 2012
Last year during the month of November I did a series titled Thankful Thursdays. I gave thanks for Noah, our house, and my freedom from migraines. This year I want to invite everyone to join me for Thankful Thursdays by linking up at the link party I will be hosting every Thursday (surprise) in November.

I’ve seen several pumpkin spiced recipes floating around on Pinterest lately and I have it on my mind to give one of the DIY Pumpkin Spiced Lattes a try.
Noah has discovered her own pumpkin spiced concoction that she loves.
She’s not one to shy away from bold flavor… earlier this week she fell in love with taco...

First off, I would like to thank everyone for all the love, support, and encouragement of our adoption announcement. I was blown away by the number of you that took time out of your day to hear what God is doing in our lives. Thank you!
In other not so interesting news I managed to distract myself this past weekend with starting...
Family Friday: Reservations for Four, Please
- Published on Friday, 28 September 2012
Michael Luke and I are thrilled to announce that we are expecting our second child!
That’s right, our little family of three will soon become a family of four. Noah is going to be a big sis!
I should probably clarify something though. I’m not pregnant. We are in the process of adopting a child from Colombia.

A Collaborative Effort

I may be the only one in this family with the official title of “Interior Designer” but ML loves to get in on the action. Maybe it’s because he majored in Architecture for a semester or tends to have a little big of OCD come out every once in a while. Who knows! What I do know is that a few months ago he sug...
