Blog of the Month - October 2011

Over at Our Concrete Home, Andrea, Nate, and their two feline friends (Pixel & Loki) are busy making their concrete block house a home. Since purchasing their 1950's house in 2009, they've filled their blog with details on all kinds of DIY projects (including painting inside and out, replacing windows and doors, removing tired landscaping and tearing out old flooring, to name a few). Alongside their project work, they're sharing some decorating inspiration, their entertaining adventures, and the experience of being featured on Bath Crashers. Our personal favorite, though, are the Feline Friday posts featuring all of Pixel and Loki's mischief … they make us smile every time! Be sure to stop on over and get to know this great blog … we're sure you won't be disappointed!

Feline Friday: His quadrant

Authors: Andrea

Loki has recently chosen the bottom quadrants of our coffee table legs to be his favorite sleeping spot. It allows the perfect amount of cover if an intruder were to attack plus he can use the legs to rub against. It’s a win win for the orange dragon. ...

Boy do I love this photo of Pixel a.k.a. the manager of home improvement projects. She’s always close by to make sure we don’t shit up.

House Painted

Authors: Andrea

We have been on a list to get our house painted since February. After a couple of months of waiting, I was convinced the house wouldn’t be painted until August. But then we got the phone call two weeks ago on a Thursday saying they could start the next day. Although it was a quick turnaround, Nate had just finished cleaning up...

Feline Friday: Baby massage

Authors: Andrea

One of the cutest things Loki has done since I’ve been pregnant is sit facing me and massage my belly. Yes, those claws hurt a little on my stretched skin, but it’s so adorable and sweet. I think he’s going to be a good kitty guardian for the wee one. ...
