HOUSEography
Working with my Handy Hubby to transform our 1940 colonial into a family home for our 2 kids and crazy dog. We have added, renovated, decorated, and organized our house over the past 9 years but we still have plenty of projects on the horizon - both DIY and hired out!
Blog of the Month - November 2011
Over the last 10 years, Melissa and Jim have purchased a 1940s brick colonial home and then completed a massive project to double the home's size and fully renovate it. Now they have a beautiful home with lots of period charm right along side some great modern conveniences like a gorgeous master suite and open plan kitchen & family room. Since completing their addition and renovations in 2009, HOUSEography was born. Through their blog, they share loads of fun decorating ideas and provide great inspiration for the rest of us as they work through their post-renovation to-do list. Be sure to stop by and discover another blog just begging to be added to your "must read" list!

Clearly I was delirious!!But, the framing had a good start and the roof was going on when we arrived home.

There are loads of projects to be done in the den closet. This is and always will be a catchall closet for, well, everything. One of its purposes is to hold all of my wrapping supplies. With 2 kids at prime birthday party ages, we use this stuff constantly. I wanted to first tack the ribbon which was...Porch: Demolition

Demolition started yesterday. It was pretty awesome to come home to work and see this...When we saw this corner, we knew we were doing the right thing by ripping this off and replacing it with something more solid. I'm not an expert but that looks like termite and water damage.
I find demolition so satisfying even...
