Weekend Happenings.

Authors: Bungalow13

Steve was at it again this weekend.  So much so that we actually have the plumber and electrician coming this week!!!  Woot!!!

Steve added a flat piece of wood (runs parallel to ceiling joists) to break the 20" gap between joists and to give the drywallers and cabinet builder a place to attach their materials

He...

And while we're on the wedding band wagon...

Authors: Bungalow13

I remembered that I promised pictures from the wedding we went to in August after posting about the most recent wedding we attended.

Without further ado:

The beautiful bride, Eileen!

They got married at a Greek Orthodox Church
The only way I could think of entertaining Ben in the back of the church while the ceremony was going...

Bling'n....

Authors: Bungalow13

Well, the shipment from Horton Brasses came late last week and I am nothing less than impressed with the quality and the price. The hardware is just like the stuff from Rejuvenation.  The metal on the bin pulls is not too thick, not too thin-juuuuust riiight :)   The only thing that I don't love is that the slotted...

It's Officially Fall

Authors: Bungalow13

Happy Fall Folks!

While I love summer sunshine and all the warm rays that come along with it, I love fall even more.  There is something so lovely about leaves crunching under your feet, the smell of the air after a crisp rain, tall boots, a fun coat and warm scarf.  Not to mention pumpkin spiced lattes.

And I...

Decision making: Custom Hood Vent design

Authors: Bungalow13

I sketched up a few designs (please excuse the terrible scale but you'll get the idea) for the hood range cover.   You can get a better idea of the whole design by looking back here.  Which one do you like best?  Have any other ideas?
I have to give our cabinet builder a decision tomorrow or Friday-eek! ...

Signed Sealed Delivered

Authors: Bungalow13

Hi there!
Last night Steve and I finished reviewing the final kitchen plans.  Pretty much everything was just how we wanted it....just a few minor revisions and also a few decisions that our cabinet dude had asked us to clarify.  So while this is oh so cool, I also am a little anxious being that this is it.  No...

Bling

Authors: Bungalow13

In order for the lovely cabinets I discussed yesterday to work, you gotta have some hardware or what I like to refer to as kitchen bling....sometimes I feel like it costs as much as the bling on my finger:)

So I counted once, twice, thrice and came up with needing 12-14 bin pulls (not decided if I want to use pulls on the tip...

The Real Deal

Authors: Bungalow13

Our Cabinet builder sent us over final drawings tonight and we just need to make any last minute changes and sign off on them.  He already has all of our wood and hopes to start building Monday!  There are a couple little changes I want to make but I am totally ready to count hinges and pulls and order those suckers...
