Lamb and rosemary is a classic combination and one of my favorites. These are so easy to make, 5 minute marinade, set in fridge over night and cook 2-3 minutes on each side (for rare) before serving. Yum! Ingredients: 4-6 lamb chops, cleaned and trimmed 2 tbsp of olive oil 3 tbsp soy sauce (trust [...]...Bored to beads: Deck Ceiling Installation

Oh well, I decided to call them baby brussel sprouts, so it sounds like we intentionally harvested micro-veggies. They were really tasty...Who Said Size Matters? Sauteed Baby Brussels Sprouts

The porch roof is up. The sheathing and rolled roofing went up quickly and we are all set for whatever winter throws at us this year. We worked with the existing structure so there will not be any overhanging soffits….we will have to vent the roof another way. We decided to cover the porch ceiling [...]...My Dahlias: Tuber to Bloom

I’ve been sitting on these pictures for a while, so here they are all together. There I am, beaming from ear to ear [...]...Recipe: Seasonal Vegetables and Shrimp Over Pasta

Sung to the tune of Beyoncé’s “Put A Ring On It”. If I didn’t think websites with music that starts when you open the page were totally annoying, then I would have an excerpt for those of you who have no clue what I’m referring to. So, we like our deck. It has built-in vegetable [...]...Ding Dong! Inexpensive and elegant doorbell style

The quest for curb appeal continues with a new doorbell. If you remember from this post earlier in the year, the doorbell was in rough shape and just not up to snuff with the rest of the front porch re-design. I scouted new doorbells online that would work with our home’s style and was shocked at [...]...Recipe: Healthy Summer Skillet Pasta
