Stripping it Down Continues

Authors: Why S?

Throughout the past week, the stripping off of the aluminum siding continued,

I hope that ugly railing on the steps will be the next to go.

The debris continued to pile up.  The yard is also littered big paint flakes. Yuk!
Good thing we're not in Beverly Hills.  They wouldn't like this look so much.

And now . . . the Exterior

Authors: Why S?

It's been quite a while since I've posted much house-related blogging material.  It appears we're back in the thick of it.  K's job will give him some free time this summer so now, the moment we've long been waiting for . . . drum roll . . . the aluminum siding comes off the house . . .

A Weill Night in the Madhouse

Authors: Why S?

With faith and nerve and a lot of resolve, we're moving forward with our big, bad play.  This Thursday, on May 17th, we'll be presenting an evening of the music of Kurt Weill to benefit our upcoming production of Bertolt Brecht's A Man's a Man. Actually, I was ready to go to sleep.  I had forgotten about The Rock.
Thanks for the Dwayne Johnson photo, David Shankbone

No, not that Rock,...

Make it big if you have to.

Keep at it.  Fight your way through.

I gave up on a lot of stuff.  The only thing I regret is the stuff I gave up on.  Not the things I did.  Not the things I said.  Just the stuff I gave up on.  Fight your way through.
Thanks, Ira.  Thanks, AU.

To Be but Not to Be

Authors: Why S?

I’ve noticed that each passing television season brings a greater number of shows dealing with the question of those who cannot die.

First it was HBO’s True Blood with its Southern Gothic vampire culture. Then it was my personal favorite from last spring, The Walking Dead, a tale of survivors surviving a plague of...

Rejuvenation! In the Flesh!

Remember back when I blogged about Rejuvenation Hardware coming to my own fair city? Well, tonight was the gala grand opening party and I was there to give you a report.
Let me tell you, I walked in and was so overcome with the need to visit every gorgeous little item, I could barely settle down to enjoy the dippables and savories...
